One of the Streets In Ushuaia ----------->

Capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the planet. Ushuaia -which in the yámana language means “bay overlooking the West”- is surrounded by Mount Martial to the West and by Mounts Olivia and Cinco Hermanos to the East. Located on the shores of the Beagle Channel, it offers a unique landscape, which combines mountains, sea, glaciers and forests.

Santiago 25-2703.2008

Santiago de Chile is a modern metropolis with a shiny face and has one of South America's most dynamic economies. At the same time, struggling street vendors board city buses to hawk everything from pins to ice cream, and housemaids ride for hours to scrub floors and change nappies in exclusive suburbs.
First and foremost, smog-blighted Santiago is a city of commerce.

To be honest with u. I dont like it guys.

Thats true than u can find hips of historical buildings but this smog keeps killing me.

And I am not an architecture person to realy care about it.

Got a fly to Ushuaia tomorrow thanks God

Chile's presidential palace, Palacio De La Moneda (La Moneda literally means 'the coin'), was designed by Italian architect Joaquín Toesca as the official mint at the end of the 18th century. It became the presidential residence in 1846. Badly damaged by air force attacks during the 1973 military coup, it was restored before the return to democracy and now houses the presidential offices. The head of state does not reside here now.

Easter Island 16-25.03.2008

Easter Island

One of the most amazing places Ive been in my entire life. Ive been staying there for last 9 days and u know what.....

Thats not enough at all.

<----Volcano Rano Raraku and one of the Moais

This mistic Island with amazing people and places u cant see anywere else in da world is just paradise for everyone.

I love people who leaving on this small peace of land they all are amazing.

Anakena Beach and Ahu nau nau---->

<-----Ovahe Beach

I gonna allways remember this place coz is beautiful and da name coz is beautiful is well,
its allways gonna stay in my heart.

Ahu Tongariki, on the south coast of Easter was the site of one of the largest of the ahu. The large flat plain below Rano Raraku provided easy access to the quarry and as a result the largest of the moai where erected here.

15 Moais line up along the largest ahu built.

Ahu Tongariki------->

Almost everyone has seen the iconic images of the Easter Island statues staring silently out from the hillsides. Seeing these pictures many people have come to believe that all Moai faced the ocean while it is the exact opposite that is true. With the exception of Ahu Akivi all erected Moai face inland. It is believed they were positioned that way to watch over the villages. At Rano Raraku the statues face away from the crater.

<-----Rano Raraku

Built in 1460 this site was one of the later constructions built, probably at a time when the statue cult was beginning to unravel. Unlike other sites, Akivi is inland and has a commanding view of the western part of the island. Its 7 moai, all about 14 feet tall and approx. 12 metric tons each, are remarkably similar.

This shows 7 woriors who explore the island at the beginning. Only Moais looking on the ocean.

Ahu Akivi-------->

Easter Island- is a tiny speck of land in the South Pacific. Formed by a series of massive volcanic eruptions, the island was only inhabited by sea birds and dragonflies for millions of years. Its steep slopes, however, stood out like a beacon to a weary group of Polynesian seafarers. How long their voyage took or their reasons for leaving their home country are questions that we'll never have the answer to, but we can imagine their joy at seeing this sight after what must have been months at sea.

<------Sunset from a camping I stay

Easter Island, Rapa Nui, Isla de Pascua-- U can call it however u want to, for me it´s something amazing something I never seen and never felt and something u cant find enywhere else in da world. People, magic site of this place, amazing moais and that empty places where u can just think about mystery´s of this place: how, where, when and why, this question allways gonna stay in my head.
Gauthier was right, This place is not only about Moais, Is about something else something u cant explain that easy.

Good bye Easter Island
Stay allways in my heart

Rangitoto & Mututapu Islands 14-15.03.2008

After couple of hours in Auckland I got that idea:)!!

I can see some of the Hauraki Gulf islands.

On 14th ive get a ferry to Rangitoto Island:)

"Lava Island" thats how I call it!!

<-------Rangitoto Island

Rangitoto Island is the largest, youngest and one of the least modified of about 50 volcanic cones and craters in the Auckland volcanic field.

It erupted from the sea in a series of dramatic explosions around 600 years ago, and is now extinct.

It dominates the local seascape and a visit there is like stepping into another world.(I was in another world honest).

I've done about 18 km in that day.

Gooood feeling.

The island is a public reserve managed by the Department of Conservation and is famed world-wide as a botanical gem.

They got only one sand natural sand beach on the island.
Rest of land is just dry lava peaces.

Motutapu island

Farm land.

I had heaps of bird and sheep shit on my boots:)

Ha ha ha

Land Between Motutapu and Rangitoto

Islington Bay--------->

Motutapu Island has witnessed eruptions, aggressive farming, countless visitors, and animals introduced from far-flung lands.

When Rangitoto Island emerged from the sea 600-odd years ago—blasting lava and ash—Maori frantically paddled away from the adjacent Motutapu Island.

They’d been living on this island for generations. In fact, it was one of the earliest Maori settlement sites in New Zealand.

For Motutaupo’s kiwi, Rangitoto’s eruption had its pros and cons. It destroyed their villages and gardens, but it also made the soil much more fertile and it wasn’t difficult to resettle there soon after.

Thats the place ive been sleeping last night:)
Home Bay ----->

Auckland 13- 16.03.2008

Well I got there at 18.00.
I had an easy hitchhike.
To be honest not much to say about this place.

Taupo 11-12.03.2008

I dont know if I am lucky or what but in New Zealand I dont have to hitchhike longer than 20 min :). Maybe that's people or maybe my luck.

Now I found my way to get to Taupo from Napier in about 2 h.

<-----Lake Taupo & Tongariro NP.

Taupo is a town on the shore of Lake Taupo in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand.

Taupo has a population of 22,300.

The name Taupo comes from Maori Taupō-nui-a-Tia. Literally translated, it means "The great cloak of Tia" where Tia is the name of the discoverer of the lake.

Nice Fish AI-------->

Taupo is located at the outlet of Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake, in the north-east corner of the lake where it discharges the Waikato River. The river flows over one of New Zealand's most spectacular waterfalls,

<----Huka Falls,

a short distance north of the town. Taupo is a centre of volcanic and geothermal activity and hot springs suitable for bathing are located at several places in the vicinity.

I had my lunch in that airplane today hehe
